Inspite of a $2 billion lawsuit launched by several U.S. hedge funds, the integration of Porsche Automobil Holding SE into Volkswagen AG is well on track, assured VW’s CEO on Tuesday.

VW has revealed a plug-in electric version of the Golf, previewing the zero-emissions driveline and lithium-ion battery technology the company intends to put into a production version of the new car. Volkswagen is set to expand its portfolio of sporty models, with the launch of the new subsidiary, Volkswagen R GmbH.
